Rainmaking
LOCAL CHANNEL MARKETING™'s FINAL PROCESS
Rainmaking doesn't need a lot of introduction ... or a lot of explanation.
In the real world, it's the highly over-hyped event that, sadly (while terrific as it happens), seldom occurs. It virtually never repeats itself and thus is impossible to forecast or to schedule. (But, isn't it sweet when it happens!?!)
Inside our community, Rainmaking is the third and final planned process of Local Channel Marketing.™ As most visitors may have already heard, some members experience rainmaking opportunities on a routine basis ... mostly those who have learned the value of local clustering.
This process is practiced by active community participants who know how to use LCM™ in their regular course of daily business. A few of the more important points to remember are:
- It is not the primary, but only a secondary, benefit of our clients-first organization
- It can become virtually axiomatic when following its predecessor process
- It occasionally can involve High Net Worth clients—like within the spectrum of M&A events that require multiple outsourced members
Outsiders probably wouldn't believe a member when she quietly asserts that she had little to do with making it rain. This because all the heavy-lifting, the so-called "spade or trench work" was done before she was even called in to participate in the (outsourced) project.
Local Channel Marketing™ is also known as Local Constituent Marketing because it involves only local professionals who know (or soon-will-know) and trust one another. When one member has a client in need of outside [outsourced] services, she simply lights the match (notifies PMC). There is then nothing to do until a few hours/days later she (the referring member) is contacted that an excellent solution provider deserves an interview. At the other end of the equation, the receiving member has to do literally nothing--except to make himself available when the priority call comes!
Success stories and testimonials are omitted ... because they deliberately don't exist. As of our latest launch, we have stopped asking for, or accepting, them. Why? Charter Members voted that since we're a closed-community, this is entirely unnecessary. Successes are only known and shared between & among members and their respective (happy) clients. PM Community.org never learns when members connect, collaborate, and bring optimum value-added to their clients.---

Thanks is such a small word. So let me capitalize it THANKS. ... amazing support ... kept me in the billable-loop ... and my client enjoyed the professionalism of our team, especially the result."
