County Coordinators
A Prized Assignment for Any CHARTER Member
What's the big deal about becoming a COUNTY COORDINATOR for PM Community? In the interest of time and space we'll give you the short version by only mentioning three reasons.
- Firstly, CCs are special volunteers who add EXTREME value to the community.
Just like every other member, every CC is a professional in private practice or an independent professional working within the small firm guideline. What makes a CC special is the fact that she/he is volunteering a few hours each week to help the community and their fellow members. While there is no compensation while one is sitting in this volunteer position, it does not mean that they are not appreciated and won't be remembered later when their year's assignment is done. (More about this later in our Insider Blog.)
- Second, CCs are our eyes and ears on the street.
In order for the community to grow and be as relevant in the LOCAL community as it must be, CC's are the ones who keep the pulse of the local marketplace. They don't have to do anything except to be "there" and, if called upon, answer the occasional question about PMC and LCM, innocuous enough, since the answers are all found in the FAQ Sessions anyway. If there was an unusual question, a real "stumper," our Concierge, Katie at 1800-961-1800 will have the immediate answer or get someone who does!
- Third, CC's help our BRMs for time-to-time especially re: referrals!
As everyone knows by now, LEADS are always free because they are unqualified and need cultivation. REFERRALS are always qualified—and engagement-ready--making them vastly most valuable. Both can be distributed without charge/commission by a CC. The only difference is that LEADS go to whomever the CC feels is best, whereas, REFERRALS can only go wherever an assigned BRM shall designate. But as a field liaison, the CC can personally meet with members—very confidentially—and facilitate delivery.
FYI—All CC's are under the direct control of our VP of Membership, Mr. Paul O'Brien. Hence, one of his "older" business cards is illustrated above.
It needs to be pointed out that CC's are not representatives or official agents of PMC. For legal liability purposes, they are "just" volunteers. But, admin holds them in high regard and, assuming they can serve full-term (a full year) and groom their replacement, pay-it-forward should have some significance for them. (In the spirit of doing something without expecting remuneration is the ideal that the concept aspires toward. But for a job "well done" it's been rumored that we may just monetize matters for the retiring CC—in appreciation for service rendered, or not!
To ensure that every Clustered County remains balanced, admin will try to appoint as many varying professions to each area. We hope that every joining member will indicate their willingness to become a CC, but only a small percentage will likely serve...until seniority moves them up the ladder. (FYI—If one doesn't get called initially to be a CC, the community also needs Insider Blog moderators.)

I can't give up my networking club (I'm in too deep) but I can cut it back to every other week. This netweaving process is great. ... I love that I can continue to network & netweave all I want and never have to report back to anyone."
